Leader in Advancing Preceptors Through Certification
AAPA is now a part of Preceptor Training & Certification
In January 2024, the American Academy for Preceptor Advancement (AAPA) merged and became a subsidiary of Preceptor Training & Certification.
The resources and courses available on this site will be expiring as we complete this transition.
Preceptor Training & Certification will be updating and maintaining the Scope & Standards and Preceptorship Basics books and will host additional resources for preceptors and preceptees. If you have purchased one or both of these, you will be granted access on the Preceptor Training & Certification website.
Those interested in certification may apply after they have successfully completed 25 credits/contact hours (CE/CME) in courses directly related to preceptoring and successfully pass the standardized, multiple choice, proctored certification exam. Status as a Certified Preceptor (CP) is valid for a three-year period.
For more information on preceptor training programs, the preceptor certification exam, resources, and the application to become a Certified Preceptor (CP), visit the Preceptor Training & Certification website.
The resources and courses available on this site will be expiring as we complete this merge. You will find a vast array of training opportunities and documentation on preceptorcertification.com.
Thank you for your support of the American Academy for Preceptor Advancement. It has been our privilege to serve you!
